“He can see her breathing fast, her body taut and excited, her lips smiling, if uncertain. She wants to continue as badly has he does, she simply doesn’t know what’s next.”


I’ve seen this kind of scenario in fic so many times that I was initially skeptical. Of course, I was mistaken. There’s just the right balance of awkward and idealized imagery that makes this fic as good to read for the connection and character as it is for the subject. The writing is spare, clear, and poignant. For lack of a better word, I was drowning in squee the first time I read this. One of my favorites of the fandom.
